Career Treks

Once a semester, WUCC takes members out of the classroom and into the firms they are hoping to join. Recent treks have run through New York and Washington, DC, with visits to McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, PwC, Accenture and Capital One, among many others.

Why the trek is worth it

01

See the real work

Office tours and project walkthroughs, not a pitch.

02

Meet the people who hire

Analysts, associates, partners and Penn alumni hosts.

03

Recruit with an edge

Learn how each firm staffs projects and runs interviews.

Case Competition

Every year WUCC runs a case competition built around a live prompt from one of our corporate partners. Past competitions have been sponsored by McKinsey and PwC. Teams take the problem apart over a few weeks and present their recommendation to a panel of judges.

A real prompt

The prompt comes from a partner firm and is drawn from a question they are genuinely working through, so teams deal with real constraints rather than a textbook case.

Open to every member

Members enter in small teams. Newer members are paired with people who have already run projects, so first semester members can compete from day one.

Judged by the sponsor

Finalists present to judges from the sponsoring firm alongside the WUCC board, with prizes and recruiting exposure for the strongest teams.

Interested in becoming a sponsor?

Throughout the year, WUCC coordinates with corporate sponsors to organize coffee chats, private dinners, career treks, office visits, case interview and resume workshops, and career fairs. These exclusive opportunities allow our members to meet with and learn more about your company.

In addition to these company specific opportunities to engage with our members, WUCC also hosts over 30 events throughout the year. Past events include panel discussions with current consultants, casing interview prep, and resume and cover letter workshops. If you are interested in being involved with these events, WUCC is happy to work with your specific goals.

We recognize effective sponsorship will be highly specific.
