Why join WUCC?
WUCC brings together students from across Penn who are curious, driven, and excited to solve meaningful problems. Whether you are exploring consulting for the first time or already know it is a path you want to pursue, WUCC provides opportunities to gain hands-on experience through real client projects, develop practical skills, learn from industry professionals, and become part of a close-knit community of peers and mentors.
As a Wharton Council-recognized student organization, WUCC adheres to the University of Pennsylvania Policy on Equal Opportunity. All Penn undergraduates are welcome to sign up to participate in WUCC’s general body membership (GBM) events and programs!
Students interested in joining one of WUCC’s three committees are encouraged to apply, regardless of prior experience or background. Applicants may apply to one committee per recruiting cycle.

General Body Member
Application not required. General body members are welcome to all WUCC events, such as workshops and info sessions. As a General Body Member, you will learn essential skills and participate in club activities without an application.

No, we encourage all students to apply and consider students from all four undergraduate schools to apply to the committee(s) they are interested in. Creating divisions and teams with diverse backgrounds helps us think critically, solve complex problems, and learn from each other.

No, we take and encourage any student at Penn who shows an interest in one or more of WUCC’s committees. We recruit at the beginning of each semester and encourage everyone interested to apply.

Starting with the 2026-2027 academic year, WUCC will have three committees: Consulting, Corporate Relations and Marketing. Each one has a separate application and plays a different role in constituting the club.

We host a variety of events including guest speakers, panels, and GBMs to learn more about the consulting industry. We also plan social events to help you find your WUCC family. We have formals, big/little parings, socials like karaoke or coffee runs, and this year, we are planning a retreat to the Poconos mountains.

We know applying to clubs can be stressful and at times overwhelming. When going through your application, we want to see authenticity. We look for a diverse array of students who can contribute to our club culture and show a genuine interest in what we do. You do not need prior consulting experience and we encourage you to learn more about WUCC while applying through our website, social media, recruiting events and coffee chats.
